With the exhibition "GORDON CLARK - Selection", the gallery presents the South African photographer for the second time in a solo exhibition. On display are works from different phases of work, starting with the cycle "Transition", which was created in 2002 in Namibia.
The exhibition is centered on works from "Who am I?" with Leon Botha and large-format photographs from the series "Colored".
The protagonist of this project is Ernie Solomon, a South African with African, Japanese and German roots. He represents the society of the "Colored" from the Cape Flats, which was brutally suppressed during apartheid.
They now live within sight of Cape Town's well-heeled black and white upper classes.
